  5. Angle Measurement 180* Omnidirectional for drawings and larger angle references
  6. Measurements down to 1/16th inch
  7. Perfect straightedge and 90* tool
  8. Create perfect circles and radius in 2",4" & 6"

Tips and tricks:

PROTRACTOR: ANGLE MEASUREMENT AND DRAWING TOOL

The front contains a 180 degree arc for measuring and drawing angles. Quickly mark 90 degrees right angles.

To draw or measure your own angle:

  1. Align a straight line to the bottom flat edge on the outside of the card.
  2. Add a center dot to denote your vertex, in the gap at the center of the arc tool.
  3. Add a dot at the angle you wish to draw. If measuring, find the angle where the line meets a mark and note the angle.
  4. Now you can use the straight edge to connect your dots and complete your angle.

COMPASS: ARC & CIRCLE DRAWING TOOLS

Using the Circle center hole find your center point. The holes are designed to accommodate a Sharpie or pen for many work environments. Choose your desired Size marked near holes (2",4",6") for drawing arcs and circles like a compass.

    PIPE INNER DIAMETER MEASUREMENT

The bottom left corner of the back of the card has a series of 45 degree line increments For small pipes or openings you wish to measure, insert this corner as far as you can inside a pipe or hole and align the opposing measurement lines with the ends of the walls of the object. The highest pair of lines it reaches is the measurement up to 1.25"

    RULER

Note that the origin (zero) side starts flat (flush) to the edge of the Engineering Card. This allows you to easily measure the height or depth of an object on a flat surface. For the highest precision on paper, start your line at the 1” marking instead of the edge. The lines marked in 1/16th of an inch up to 3"

    TINY FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER

You might have missed this one! You can use it to unscrew some set screws in a pinch. Don't try to unscrew anything drilled firmly into wood or you'll warp the card. Even though it's steel, it's only 0.8 mm thick.

10mm Wrench

We all know the elusive 10mm socket, no more! Forever have a 10mm right in your pocket, snug up or loosen 10mm nuts or bolts. Don't torque to hard or you'll warp the hole. Even though it's steel, it's only 0.8 mm thick.

Conversion example.

When working on various projects we inevitably run into torque specs that are in (ftlb or Inlb or Nm) Foot pounds, Inch pounds or Nm and need to calculate conversion for the tool we are using. If you have an inlb torque wrench and the spec states ftlbs. No more trouble pondering the calculation. If spec is 15ftlb, check your card! 15ftlbsX12=180inlbs! Time saved!
